Snowing in Fargo, water still rising

Looks like it’s snowing up there, roads are slippery, schools and Minnesota State University are closed, and lows of 13 degrees are expected tonight and tomorrow night.

Barb Pitt, a volunteer from Cedar Rapids, said just now her group was arriving in Fargo. They were about 10 miles from town. The roads are covered in ice, she said.

“We’re on the Interstate, and we’ve been going about 40 miles an hour,” she said.

Jonathan Woods and I plan to leave for Fargo tomorrow, and still would appreciate your ideas on how to cover the flooding/flood protection efforts up there. I’m at adam.belz@gazcomm.com or 319-540-1306.
